Have you ever watched a coin on a dealers site too long?

So that when you decide to buy it - poof - it's now gone image

It has happened once to me, and I was pretty disappointed that I did not pull the trigger sooner.

Speaking of dealers sites, why is David Lawrence Rare Coins website so sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwww??????????? I was trying to go after 3 coins in their "auction" and I couldn't even place a bid the other night. I have high-speed internet...so I know it wasn't on MY end.....

    What's up with that?????

I had a problem with their site today. It is probably something on their end.

I've been watching a coin on Larry Whitlow's site for several weeks. A few days ago I went back to inquire and it was gone.

Yeah, it happens. I just move on to something else. I tend to space out my buying on a monthly basis, so if something comes up at the wrong time it may go poof.

Not on a website, but at a local dealer. This guy had a gorgeously toned MS66 Pan Pac that I hemmed and hawed over for months. Finally, I went there with the cash in pocket, asked to see it again and found out that it was finally sold. Of course, that made it an even more inceredible coin...the one that got away.
