Has anyone crossed a chopmarked Trade $1 from ANACS

The ANACS slabs I've seen for Trade dollars that are chopmarked show "bent, damaged" etc. Does PCGS cross these ANACS slabs since I assume all chopmarked dollars are technically damaged, bent, etc.?? Anyone tried one of these crosses? What were your results? Thanks, CCG

PCGS holdered one of my chops that was so heavily marked the coin was in the shape of a shallow cup. I'd say that qualifies as bent! image

My Trade Dollar from Anacs says - AU details Net F-12 Chopmarked.

So they didn't specifically list the damage as bent, but net graded it none the less.

How did PCGS list the coin?
  • I've got one thats ANACS graded "AU Detail Net F12 Chopmarked Damaged Bent". I was trying to decide whether to crack it out or send it in for a cross??

If PCGS will slab them chopmarked... then seems like a good choice instead of a net grade...

I don't collect Trade dollars, but if I did, I'd WANT mine with chopmarks. It's like a sign of authenticity in my opinion. The chop marks give the coins enormous character.
