EBAY Bidding Question
I'm a little confused here, I placed a maximum bid on an item on ebay on 4/25 and received the following message today:
Important: Another bidder placed a higher maximum bid than yours, possibly days or hours before. To increase your chances of winning, enter the highest amount you would be willing to pay below.
The confusing part is that the bidding now shows my maximum bid. If someone bid a higher maximum, shouldn't it have shown me as being outbid or a bid higher than my maximum?
Does the system give preference to a bidder that 1st bids on an item even though someone comes along the next day and places a higher bid? I recall that there had been 1 bid placed on this item before I outbid them.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
