Is this Valuable???

Hi- I am a novice at coin collection. I got something from my parents but i dont know if its worth something..i was wondering if someone here can help.. Its two framed pictures called
The American Indian and The Trailblazers(respectively). The American Indian has a row of Indian Head Pennies down each side the years are 1895,1898, 1903,08,06,05,02,07 and 4 unused stamps called 1948 Indian Centennial Stamp, The Frederick Remington Artist of the West stamp(1961), the Chief Joseph Stamp(1968) and the Cherokee Strip Stamp(1968)

On The Trailblazers are 2 rows of buffalo nickels 3 1935's,2 1937's,36, and a 25..the row going down the other side has the buffalo so i cant see the years of these coins and the stamps included in this frame are the Bison Wildlife Conservation STamp(1970) ,The Range Conservation STamp(1961), The C.M Russell American Artist STamp(1964), The Missouri Statehood Stamp(1971) and the Kearney Exhibition Stamp(1946)

All these coins and stamps have been secured in this frame for I dont know how long.....if you can help me identify the value or non value of these, that would be great since I just dont know..thanks..joe

  • They sound like interesting displays. The coins themselves wouldn't be very valuable unless they are in perfect condition and have never been cleaned or touched. I have no idea about the stamps or the display. I would certainly bid something for them if I saw a good photo of them and they were offered in an eBay auction.

Very little numismatic value, but plenty of sentimental value. These displays invariably contain circulated common date coins that are frequently cleaned and polished.

  • Are you in Tennessee? I am guessing so based on your user ID.

If you're anywhere near Nashville, you could bring your items to the next monthly coin show in Franklin and have someone look at them.

    Welcome aboard.

Neither the stamps nor the coins are likely to have much of a premium. Even if they
aren't cleaned and polished as Russ said, they are often damaged by being glued
in the display for decades. There are some rare varieties of these dates but it's im-
probable that the set contains these.

If the coins are otherwise perfect the nickels are worth about 40c each in worn con-
dition and the cents will wholesale at close to $1 each.

At least two of the stamps will be worth more as postage and this probably applies
    to all of them.

Nothing to add to the earlier comments but welcome, and "Tennessee Jed" is a favorite Grateful Dead song of mine!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
