This design was minted from 1970 to 1982 but they are still common in circulation here in the old country. In 1983 the design was modified. I kinda like this one over the newer one even though they are not really all that different.
thanks for the info. I'm obviously not a darksider but my kids liked the fact that we got this coin in change from a burger joint and we were curious as to its origin.
