He's got an eBay store and his own internet store. Anybody ever had dealings with them? If so, what was your experience?

He uses file photos for his proof and sms sets. I've never purchased anything from them because I have no way of knowing what I'm buying.
I've had great transactions with people like: drwstr123, CCC2010, AlanLastufka, Type2, Justlooking, zas107, StrikeOutXXX, 10point, 66Tbird, and many more!

I've recently bought from him to test out the waters. Let's just say that it will be the last purchase I will ever make from him. I suggest staying away, but it's up to you

I bought from him a couple times about three years ago. Haven't bought since.

image photos were not representative of what I actually got - the mint set envelopes were pretty well trashed and the coins were nothing to brag about. I'm probably going to replace them eventually. On the other hand I did get them at a pretty low price . . . "get what you pay for???????"

  • Crap...I just bid on some sets and I think I hit the BIN on a few as well.....it couldn't have been more than 10 minutes before reading this post. The sets are listed as sealed so.....if they aren't....we will have a problem....if they are then...hopefully I will at least get what I pay for....image

Very sharp promoter who has taken all the names of the people who have bought on ebay and is sending mass email offerings. Probably makes a ton.

    Smart.

    Kryptonite,

When you buy a sealed proof set--you can be sure that it is CURRENTLY sealed.

Did you ever see how many "new"envelopes were for sale? WTH would somebody buy bunches of "new" envelopes?---unless they needed them to seal up those old proof sets?

Besides, Russ is one of the very choosen few who gets lucky on those "sealed" sets.

Not very damned often. I just don't post about the hundreds of losers.

    Todays Tip

DO NOT purchase sealed 64 proof sets from RUSS on ebay. 1963's are OK, however.
