Coin Market Direction - Yes, Another Thread

Previous threads talked about the segmentation in the coin market. Top ranked classics are going to the moon, Alice. While low grade coins seem to be langishing lower than Norton's place of work. Scarce coins are coming to market in the area that I collect and are at reasonable prices. So many in fact, that I am able to start building two complete registry sets in the top ten with ease. Hmmmm?
Have you noticed that the registry set growth is slowing? The last couple of years the growth has been geometric. While still growing, the rate of growth is slowing, but world coin sets are starting to get on the bus. I seem to be selling to and buying from the same people. We need some fresh blood.
Price levels will not resolve the situation to everyone's satisfaction. We need to do more outreach to get more people interested in the hobby. The Mint is helping with the state quarters and the new Jeff. We need to do our part through our local clubs. Reducing those auction fees wouldn't hurt. That is pulling as much as 20% out of the pot on each deal. Las Vegas doesn't charge that much for the pot rake.
Any ideas on supporting sustainability to the market are appreciated. With sustainability, things will be good and away we go!

ms 63 64 65 generic saints a qild card play and a beautiful hunk of gold to hold in your hand!!!!!!!!
there below are added but they are not within my specialities and are really rare coins to boot but a still great values with only one way to go up and like the old saying goes every butterfly has its day
No motto gem seated quarters and halves.
Both arrows quarters and halves too. Gem original MS/PF.
I also like proof stars half dimes and dimes.
Even original gem MS stars obv dimes
Bust quarters, dimes, half dimes in orig choice MS too.
I do second the MS63-65 generic Saints only because they trade for 2-3 times intrinsic value. There are not too many coins out there that trade for 3X or less of their intrinsic value....that is unless you count circ wheatbacks! You get a leveraged gold hit along with a nice collectible looking gold coin. But those premiums will slowly disappear if gold gets much much higher in value. Sort of like melting BU silver dollars back in 1980.

What is your justification for these predictions?
There are so many 'rare' coins which should be selling for alot more but no one collects them and they languish in price. I don't ever see that changing. I wish it did! I have a few blue boxes of 'rare' gold which sells for a pittance.
I don't know what will go up but can guess pop top moderns will go down as more are made or as registry novelty wears off.
<< <i>good period one original not dipped blast white calif fractionals 50 cent and dollar will get better >>
Good gosh, I hope no one ever dips gold into blast white things!
in that these coins i listed are scarce and collectible and not have had much upward movement and these coins where like the bust dollars and national paper monry and other paper money back in the late 80's till the late 1990's dead in the water and then all of a sudden pow
every dog has its day and with these coins i listed i think in my opinion you cant lose with scarcity beauty and with classic coins that are currently at levels that have not really gained much in the last few years
looks like a good value opportunity play and with a fundmential reason to rise in value
time will tell but even if i am wrong i consider all these coins to be true scarce collector coins with great beauty and collectibiility for the collector and from past experience collectors usually make out okie
and if you have fun and enjoy with a passion your coins and they make you interested in this hobby you are already a winner and if you have collected a long tiem and leaqrned to be an advanced collector with a good eye you will be able to get out of these coins i mentioned at favorible prices in my opinion
i think eye appeal is key and higher grades are not bad but doe many of these coins the key is to be a contrarian where they are not currently appreciated in this market and the market is like the wind it changes and i see all the new or second time around new collectors gettingback into the market and it takes time to develop a collectors and and get all your cards in order so to speak where you will apprecaite the coins in many ways like i suggested above and you will gravatate to coins as such as these
remember if you want to be a heart suergon you first have to go to high school 4 year college medical school internshipand wahtever but it does not happen overnight
i feel people would be comnfortable purchasing coins like these if they are interested in collecting such coins with their discretionary income and i am sure there are many other coins in many other price ranges
but i make suggestions based on what i know and what i like and waht i believe in my minds eye to be true
i think only time will tell
if it gets you to think good for you get those wheels turning and either enter the michael bigtop so to speak ormove onto another venue that you like
Amen brother....
