is lord here? bought coins today, need feedback

i went to my 1st ever coin show today, was wonderful, was overwhelming. they had cop cars deliberately paked outside to show police presence and inside they cops were quite visible.

there were lots of nerchants and the place was quite a buzz with activity. it was very overwhelming for this movice.

i found a dealer who specializes in great britain. coins only, sadly no paper. i focused in on queen victoria jubilees, all values. i didnt know what i was doing and im not sure each of the coiuns in the series are consistent and what it takes for them to be so. so, i just bought the ones i thought were an acceptable price and visually pleasing. i am sure i did it all wrong. i still havnt taken em out of my backppack. imm hoping i havent made a big mistake. i already owned vics 1/2 & full jubilee sovreign.

im pretty sure lord is knowledgable on brit coins. if he or any one else is keen on feedback, would appreciate.

i also worked on a full set of george v 1914, year wwI started (for us brits).

where can i go to learn more about tips on all values / isues in a "set", options on appraoches.

im pretty sure lord is knowledgable on brit coins. if he or any one else is keen on feedback, would appreciate.

thanks much

first became interested in cardboard at the age of three. since then i have collected varying examples of textures, corregation grades, glue types, etc. from all over the world. Finding this site and fellow collectors who are as equally devoted to the phenomenon has brought a whole new point, purpose and meaning to my exsitence.

The World Coins forum might be a good place to start...

I'm glad you found some nice coins at the show Wayne. I'm not knowledgeable enough about British coins to have any advice for you, but I'm sure there are
many others on here who will help. I usually buy coins the same way as you...acceptable price and visually pleasing, as far as most foreign coins. Sorry I couldn't
be of more help to you. image

    Good luck! image
