1936s BuffNGC MS67* auction - all legit?

This is a stunning coin to say the least. Currently bid about 2-1/2X what a normal MS67 is bid for on Blue Sheet.

What bothers me a little bit is that Harbor Coin (not shy about puffing their coins) had helped bid this one up. HC and the seller are both in Illinois. Just coincidence?

That is a breathtaking buffalo! But I'm sure you know what it's worth to you. Good luck. As for the connection, I wouldn't hazard a guess.

I would venture that as a PQ 67* the coin is worth about what a MS68 might bring, if there were one. 2x to 3x the MS67 bid.
The price doesn't seem outlandish to me, just odd about the coincidental Illinois connection.

3 other bidders entered the fray. Went for $1725 against a $550 bid. Nice coin.

Really nice 36-S are surprisingly hard to find. The price is right on this one in my opinion.
