POLL: Which is worse regarding a MONSTER coin?

On monster coins there is no way to bid "too much". One can bid more than one meant to, he can even bid more than he can afford. But for the right coin for one's collection there is no too much.

I'm surprised that overpayers are winning. I've forgotten the $$$ on ones that I've (somewhat) overpaid, but I still remember (some of) the ones that got away...

Yes I remember the one's that got away far longer than paying the bill for the monsters that didn't.

I'd kick myself for not bidding enough if it's something that won't come along again.

Nobody likes to overpay, but a collector who badly wants to own a particular
coin does have an inherent advantage vs. dealers/investors during bidding as
they can "write-off" a portion of the coin's price to the satisfaction and pure
enjoyment of ownership!

If it truly is a MONSTER coin, the collector will most likely own it for a long period
of time, thus increasing their odds of being able to profit financially as well.

I gotta agree with Shane on this one.

The thought of the one that I missed stays with me a lot longer.

That's a tough one...But lasting pain only came from missing coins I really wanted.

It's interesting that everyone who replied commented on the pain of loosing "the big one". Yet 22 of 42 polled believe it's better to have saved their money.
