1797 heraldic reverse bust dollar???

Ebay auction number 3966389909, if someone could link it thank you. Anyways, I ran across this 1797 dollar on Ebay today, seller says it looks ms-60 or better, says he bought it from an older gentlemen from his town. I didn't think they made 1797 dollars with heraldic reverses??????

The obverse looks very suspicios to me as well, star counts are all wrong and the stars are too far away from the rim. Could this possably be a discovery coin???? lol

The seller told me to read pages 182-185 in the 2005 redbook and pages 114-115 in the us coin digest and to let him know my honest opinion after reading those. I do not get either of those publications, could some that does tell me what they say???? I still think its a fake, can I be proven wrong?

it's a fake, no heraldic eagles made in 1797, so the reverse is wrong. that and the star count on the obverse is wrong, should be either 9x7 stars or 10x6.

coinfacts.com is great for quickly determining these really obvious fakes when you have a question like heraldic eagle in 1797? or 1796 seated liberty dollar?

It's one of those easy to spot lightweight Chinese fakes. Go to Reid Goldsborough's website on Counterfeit Bust Dollars. There are others that are sometimes harder to spot.
