Help me grade this raw 52 proof Frankie

I was looking at some raw Frankies and I would like anyone's opinion on this 52 proof. I think I may try my hand at cleaning this one up (wish me luck) to see how it could look. These are raw pics, please excuse my hands reflection on the reverse pic. I do not have this cameo pic thing down to a science yet. Thanks in advance.

Imposible to tell, because you can't detect hairlines. It appears to be a CAM, though.

Sometimes the lampshade technique shows frost fade that really isn't there... from this picture, I would say it would not CAM... but, it may just be the picture...

As far as the grade goes, it is impossible to tell from the picture. No way to tell if there are hairlines and/or scratches on the coin, particularly since the coin has tarnish and other junk on it. I can not tell if the tarnish/junk is of the type that can be safely removed a bath/dip. Would have to see the coin in hand. If you have not had previous experience in bathing/dipping proof Frankies, I would not try it myself and would seek the assistance of someone with experience [trusted dealer or NCS]. However, if the tarnish/junk can be removed the cleaned up coin will be either high grade (64 or above if there are no hairlines, scratches, marks, etc) or will be lower grade (63 or lower, if there are negatives). Removing tarnish/junk can reveal and prominently deisplay flaws.

As far as a cameo designation goes, the picture of the coin leads me to believe it would no go cameo, primarily due to the fact that Franklin's bust, while it appears to have some frost, has excessive frost breaks. The mirrors for the obverse fields look good. The devices on the reverse has better frost, but the irrors for the fields look weak. The picture can be deceiving however and the coin may in fact have enough frost to warrant a cam designation.

If the coin would warrant a cam designation when cleaned up, you would have a very nice coin on your hands. 1952 cam Franklins are very tough to find raw.

When, where and under what circumstances did you acquire the coin?

What exactly are you going to clean up? I don't see any haze or spotting that would benefit from a dip- but it looks like a sure-fire cam to me, but I wouldn't hazard a grade guess without it in hand....

This is a raw set of high end MS and proof coins I put together in the late 70's. There are a few cams in this set. Myqqy, I wanted to clean up some hazing in the fields of this coin. The mirrors are strong obverse and reverse though my pics may not show it.

I'm thinking PR 64 CAM

I am concerned about the up and down marks on the cheek - slide marks or light cleaning (then would be a no grade if cleaned)

This coin has some die polish marks on the obverse bust and 1 hit west to east on the jaw, otherwise a really nice coin- as for the frost breaks on the obv- close call in my opinion. Now the 51 which got glared out in this pic- that coin just misses with the obverse frost- an expensive just miss in the case of the 51.
