Wow nice coin, I'm wondering why it didn't go DCAM. I got a 58 66CAM where the obverse is no where near as frosty.

Wanna sell that one, let me know!!!

i guess the little bit going on just above LIBERTY is whats holding it back...
like milk spotage or something there.

Milky field on the obv behind the head above liberty and in te fields on the rev.

oh so slight rub in the hair behind the ear.

If those were clean, then it might make 67 but with that rub, it's not gonna go any higher with all the other pr 1957's.

image Thanks TPN but I just made this one so I want to hold it for a while. CAM40 I think what your seeing is on the holder. Heres a picture of the coin right before I sent it to PCGS:

If the picture is accurate I see several small spots on both sides. On the obverse just above the 9, 2 above the seven, and several smaller ones in the field in front of the face. On the reverse some small spots between the stem and "E" at about 11:00, between the "N" and "T" in cent, and several smaller spots in the field above "ONE".

Looks like some spotting as others have mentioned, and the area below.

Better than what I sent in last month. Mine only made a 1957 PF 65 Cam. I too thought it deserved higher. But than again don't we all.
It was fun sending it in though since it was homemade. I got it from an unopened proof set I purchased on ebay.

it looks carbon-spotty to me. if you liked it raw, why did you care what pcgs thinks of it? looks way nicer outside the holder

    DK,
image Back. Needed the coin for my Birth Year Registry Set. I actually didn't realize it was CAM when I submitted itimage Just looked cleaner than 66 at the time I submittted it. But I'm far from an expert on these. Happy with the coin in, or out, of a holder. Thanks, Lee

ah, that makes more sense then!

in that case, i'd say you done good, but i'm thinking the carbon spots keep that coin out of 67+ territory!
