Well just to say thanks for the ones who know and have seen what people do for thier own profit,Me i was simply stating that i had coins on ebay for sale, its noones business and its also aganist ebay policy to do what RYK and the other few have done, looks like im not the only one who this has happend to and I als contacted EBAY about this thread and forum,. Also In real life as on a message board if you go up to someone and say your nuts etc etc then your askin for a !!!!!!!! I only responed as I would in real life,. Im not a scam,my pics may be bad but now i even have people because of the persons responsible emailing me and telling me the grades of coins,...Im not going to post nor will I sell anything to people from this board due to this matter and I hope Ebay boots the persons responsible!......yes i did contact and tell them, also I have saved the thread and source code so you cannot change what you said.So now its up to the ebay and people who do scam cases, cause the only bad feedback I recived was in 2000,and also im a verified user,....
"Terrapin" I also thanks for your rational statment, even though i do have a right to my business decisions on return policys etc etc,i also state to "grade for yourself" also in my auctions.but thanks for speaking truth! the others who said that people other than me have had the same done to them I thank, also cause Ebay is looking into this and now most likley others who have been ganged up on.
I am sorry for what transpired on the BST board today. It is bad for the forum to have such ugliness. I think that things started to go in the wrong direction. Perhaps, I could have stopped it, but instead I threw gasoline on the fire. It was not pretty, and I apologize for it.
FYI, you are dealing with a fairly intelligent coin community here, as well as a membership that regualrly busts ebay scammers. I do not think that you are a scammer, but your auction presentation, to me, is somewhat misleading and the terms more stringent than to what we are accustomed. Kranky pointed this out to you, and he got his head handed to himself. As a new person here, just like a guest in a new friend's home, you would not walk in and insult the hostess and then urinate in the kitchen sink.
As for your ebay auctions and status, Ebay has no jurisdiction here, and similarly CU none had ebay. Similarly, threatening lawsuits under these circumstances is silly, but clearly you were cornered and defenseless, and that is a logical (if not legally correct) response. Your ebay activities will not be affected in any way by what happenned here. If anything, your auctions received way, way more attention than they would have received otherwise as a result of the BST thread--the only thing worse than bad publicity is no publicity. If your coins are priced properly, they will likely sell to a forum member.
Good luck on ebay and here, if you choose to participate further. If you do stay, know that everyone (myself included) gets smacked down every now and again, and usually there is a good reason behind it.
I did not enter the fray until he called my friends "childish" and "dumb". His offering is a blatant rip-off akin to the scammers mentioned here daily on ebay. I do not want our community to get polluted with such.
I do not like to post here anymore, for many reasons. 1) A regular could start a thread with a fart and get 100 replies 2) A new guy needs advice but gets overlooked. 3) I am not a seller, I have never sold a coin but two people gave me a rating of 1. Thanks a lot, that is real classy. Wtf
1. Completely untrue, and I find your assertion insulting. Regulars and new or infrequent posters all contribute. 2. Sometimes the new poster has difficulty "speaking up" when he has a question. Sometimes the newbie asks a question that cannot be answered. 3. The rating system is a joke. There is no scale for it. Turn it off-I did.
Everyone was a newbie at one time.
But some of you need to learn how to behave.
Sorry, I do not need any advice on behavior, but thanks for the offer. If you have coin advice, it will be appreciated >>
Actually, you can start a thread with a fart and get 100 replies. He's right about that, although I don't see it as a problem.

Wow! A guy comes on here with rip-off auctions and gets the razzle dazzle from people for being a greaseball and then some of you apologize to the greaseball for calling him a greaseball.
If it looks like a skunk, seems to be a skunk, and smells like a skunk, it's probably a damn skunk!

Oh . . . and so this isn't too far OT . . . a superb read on the Bootleg link.

Posting ebay auctions on BST where the ebay auctions were trolls for suckers.
Come on really, what was it $100 w/a $1200 bin for a fugly raw no cent nickel (with a gouge in the neck)?
Decent PCGS slabbed 64 no centers go for about 80 bucks on ebay.
Look at the completed auctions and the misrepresented items (just look at the off-center 2000 cent w/ rims and the Merc full Band w/flattened bands, there are many more...)
IMO, coming to the PCGS BST board, Bootleg was a wolf looking for sheep but ended up in the farmers house while the farmer was loading up the shotgun. The wolf ran and the farmer and his buddies followed in chase.
I listen to your voice like it was music, [ y o u ' r e ] the song I want to know.

I have been fed up with this place so many times but admit there is great knowledge here.

Go back and search his posts. He had some good knowledge to share and I hope he comes back and I hope you guys act your age and stop this new guy bias.
And stop attacking people for spelling and grammatical errors. This is a numismatic forum not a poetry forum.

I couldn't disagree anymore with you thinking newbies always get flamed, I came here a month ago and I've only had one minor issue due to a misunderstanding.
It doesn't matter how new you are to collecting as long as you don't come here and post something incredibly stupid. If I came here and posted that I just bought an 1804 Silver Dollar and insisted it was real, even though it wasn't slabbed and I got it from a flea market and had someone tell me it wasn't real, I'd likely take their response like any normal person would.
However, if Russ said the coin was fake and I responded with "HARHARH UR A DROK AND SPEND ALL U LEIF ON FORUMS WITH SO MUCH VERY MANY POSTS, YUOR BUSINESS IS NO LONGER WORKed AND AXT. PS: MODERN ARE COINS = GARBAJ" I would deserve to be flamed.
Point is, if you handle yourself well, you'll get along a lot better than if you come here and flame well-known forum members. Most of the flamewars here are caused by people who refuse advice they were originally seeking, don't know how to take criticism, or flaming others first and getting ganged.
