Great Customer Service at David Lawrence Rare Coins

LongacreLongacre Posts: 16,717 ✭✭✭
I was a little late in getting my Richmod III catalog (which I have to say is very nice). I didn't know what to do, so I checked out their website and got the email of John Feigenbaum, the head of DLRC. I sent an email from work and asked who I should speak with to see why the catalog was delayed. I never expected to get an answer from the head of the company though.

I literally almost fell off of my chair when I received an email back from John about a half hour later, which resolved the problem. I just wanted to everyone to know that customer service is alive and well at DLRC. I expected to either get a form email back (if any at all), or a response from a subordinate promising to look into the matter. I am very impressed with my interaction with the company!

They're easy to deal with. I just don't always trust their copper pics.

Just browsing the DLRC internet auction (#31) and I think one of the coins is mislabeled. It is in the category for Gobrecht Dollars, but the picture that comes up is a Kennedy Half. LOL

DLRC contacted me, ask if I still wanted the coin, worked out other arangements. I am a proud owner of

I'VE BEEN BUYING COINS FROM DAVID LAWRENCE FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIANCE FROM THEM. I OWN SEVERAL HIGHER PRICED COINS AND PAPER MONEY= $300 TO $500 (THATS HIGHER FOR ME) THAT I WAS ABLE TO BUY ON 3 MONTH LAYAWAY. I WOULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN THEM IF I HAD TO SAVE UP FULL PRICE. I WISH I COULD HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE RECENT AUCTIONS, BUT THEY WERE WAY OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH PRAISE ON HOW WELL I HAVE BEEN TREATED THERE.imageimage SEMPER FI

DLRC is a great coin Company. I started buying from them last year and my experience with buying from them is great. I just bought my new Seated Half dollar from them about a 2 weeks ago.image

If I could only have one company source my coins, it would be DLRC. They give full price toward upgrades, even when I paid more and the market dropped (so I had a smaller spread than expected on the upgrade). Excellent.

I rate DLRC very high. We've had nothing but positive experiences in all our business with DLRC. I've several times been impressed with the high quality of the people who work there. No other numismatic business has an Internet system functioning as well as the one at DLRC. I wish Pinnacle or Legend could be as up to date with telling you when a coin is on hold pending a sale, or sold. Being able to buy something online, even a large ticket item, without having to call in, has been extremely helpful to us. We have some GREAT coins and currency notes in our collection, thanks to DLRC image

I also agree. I am so happy that I came upon DLRC when I was searching for some proof Roosevelt Dimes. I had gotten sick of going through the auction route and was hoping to find an online store where I could just buy a coin and avoid the pitfalls of an auction. I found DLRC and saw that the prices were perfect. It didn't feel as if I was being ripped off. The coins are very well described and I couldn't sense any type of underhanded dealings. They are very quick to respond to questions and their shipping is lightning fast. Of the coins I've purchased from them, the longest wait was three days after I purchased it. I also love their 'Make on offer' option as well since I was able to get a 1951 Proof dime for the price I was looking for which was about 6 bucks below their posted price. They agreed with my offer and when I got the coin it looked even better than it did in my pictures. Also, it was the last Roosevelt I needed so it was able to complete my collection. I am very satisfied with their business and plan on doing more business in the future. image
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.
