What is the Rarest Color on a Morgan?

Over the years I've experienced many wonderfully rich, colorful Morgans. My favorite colors are those with Reds and forest greens. These colors, with a bit of bright golden yellow, and lots of luster turn an ordinary Morgan into something truly special.

I have found though, the rarest color among Morgans though is an intense turquoise. I've only seen one other than the one featured on this thread.
I had the pleasure of purchasing this one this week: Lots of obverse turquoise. (The reverse is mostly a silvery brilliant.)

What has been your experience as to color combinations that are difficult, if not downright near impossible to locate on silver dollars?

I have no clue what's rarest but do like the turquoise color.

I have found the Bright Greenish Turquoise hard to find. the more subtle blueish turquoise is pretty easy to find.

I've always been partial to deep blue coins. Especially prooflike ones that have cameo. This coin had just bursts of neon colors when angled into the light and a striking blue cameo when looked straight on at. By the way, this coin was sold earlier this year.

I would say Emerald Green - probably the narrowest color "band" and therefore the least color available in Toned Morgans - I have several with Turquoise but only 1 with the real "Emerald" green color although several of my banded rainbows have thin slivers of the Emerald Green

That's not the Emerald Green that I'm referring to - unless the coin is a much different color than the image as posted.

That's all I have. It's green, though people percept shades differently. Do you have an example of the color you are talking about?

I have a fully obv toned coin similar to Fountainheadgold's coin, only a slightly darker green. I think mine's a PCGS MS65 with an intense "liquid" green color - I think FHGs coin is a PCGS 64, but not sure of that as it may be in for regrade as it looks like a MS65

The Red-Green combinations are rare, as together, they are the 2 narrowest color bands on the thin film interference spectrum - the Turquoise referenced by Bradick is right up there also - there's also a narrow band of lavender, but you only see it as a pastel and it's linked to that "smokey grey" look and therefore not particularly desirable - the the actual lavender has only a short transitional life before becoming a darker grey, which is IMHO a negative toning color. I have a lavender toned Morgan that I picked up at this past FUN show - but's it's impossible to photograph the color.

There's also a different green color that shows up on some Binion toned coins and on 1921 Morgans- I refer to it as "Lime" green, but I'm not sure that "Lime" is really the correct name for the color - it's similar to the green in Tumass' Avatar coin - but a perhaps a shade or 2 lighter.

Black crescents. Now I know you folks think they are ugly. You probably think they've been melted
or thrown away too. I once felt the same way but I hardly see any appear. I've come to the
conclusion they are tucked away in very astute collections seldom to appear.

An amazing coin to be sure. As you know, it wasn't cheap, but no "buyer's remorse" on this one. Some may not believe the colors are accurately depicted, but they are spectacular and accurate as shown. I doubt I'll ever want to part with it.
