The 1935 DDR...how many different reverse die varieties exist for this? Any thoughts? It appears to be tougher than the 1937-D 3 LEGGED but is not as mainstream or as popular... but will that change?

It's my opinion only, but the Three Legged enjoys celebrity status -- yet is available at a somewhat reasonable price, unlike the 16/16 and 18/17-D -- that is almost deemed necessary to have one for a complete set, thus driving demand. Doubled dies, however, are desirable, but not viewed as needed for a "complete" set. The 1935 you are right is relatively scarce, but demand lags, methinks. I also like the 1930 DDR with the 5-Legged Buff ... my favorite DD reverse in the series....

Three different dies, but 1-R-IV is far and away the best. Relatively common in grades good thru fine; scarce in VF; and rare any higher.
Like any other doubled die, the earlier the die state the better (and the rarer.)
This one is becoming more and more accepted as a part of the series. 15 or 20 years ago it was virtually unrecognized-I 'picked them with fair frequency to the tune of over 50 pieces total. Not the case anymore.
