NEWPS from Nashua.....1897 Morgan $1...help with grading.

I purchased this coin this past Nashua show. I has a slight reddish tint across the coin. At first I thought it could be a proof instead of a business strike. Let me know your thoughts. It is a raw coins but will be sent in with a few others.......

Second set is under different lighting.

It's mark-free all right, but there's something funny about the surfaces/luster, especially on the reverse around the eagle.

Yes...looks very clean...almost too clean, but with what I can see in the picture it looks like a lock for a MS66.....and maybe a shot at a 67..............very nice coin..

I can not see any hairlines at 5X magnification. It has PL qualities.

OK, I hear that some think it may have been cleaned. If the mirrors are really deep, would a cleaning have effected them. Or the fact that it does not have any hairlines. Comments?

There's a bit of luster broken off the wreath but it's very
clean. MS65.

Looks like it might be dipped a couple of times, but it's fairly clean. With the semi-pl fields showing ticks, it may be one of those coins it's hard to get the 65 it deserves (price jump of $65 to $275 in Trends), but worth a couple of trys IMHO. It's very attractive for the date.
