The fuss about error coins...
Think about it - who produces these error coins, such as the Wisconsin Q?
Government employees.
What kind of reputation do government workers typically have? (yes, I know there are exceptions)
Lazy, mediocre, got the job as a political favor, couldn't get a job in the private sector, etc.
Look at the uproar these mostly second-rate workers cause!

Also I would imagine the employees you are refering to push
the hoppers around and such but are not included in repair or
modification of dies.
Imho there are varieties that rightly command a great premimum.
There are others I scratch my head when I look at. We do not
know whare this one will fall.
The question I wonder is why some are so quick to poo-poo
this coin? People collect what they enjoy. Questioning
anothers collecting does not enhance your collection.
I purchased one set of these coins while they were cheap
because I wanted to own a set. I do not care if the price
goes to $10,000 or $10 because I will keep the one set I
own either way. Joe

I'm a government employee. At my last post I worked about 65 hours/wk with no overtime. I sent people to Iraq to work essentailly 24/7 for 3-6 months. None of the members of my unit got a job as a political favor, and many could earn much more outside governemnt service.
There are more than exceptions. The ones you speak of may be the exceptions.
