ok, educate me on that item.

I am going to guess that the half is at least a CAM or even DCAM after you dip it.

I just hope the reverse of that Kennedy is as DCAM as the obverse:

I was wondering that too, without a reverse pic
Hope it turns out good for that kind of money.

There was one about 6 months ago with a DCAM looking half that went for over $150. I think the days of picking them off cheap is over. Now all Russ can do is try to talk them into ending the auction early!image
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • Looks like Ken dodged a bullet on that one!

This seller only puts obverse pics up. I have gotten killer stuff and have gotten proof sets the the obverse is killer but the reverse sucks...

And I imagine that's the tougher side to get a CAM/DCAM on too.
  • Wow! $115.62 in 25 seconds. Collectables2Sell probably exhaled a sigh of relief after holding his breath and grimacing.

    It's not a cameo.

  • And I thought my $75 bid had a chance! lol

But I did win this one:

    P.S. I emailed him:

"Is the photo shown an actual photo of the item that is being sold?"

    "Yes."

My number of auction wins with this seller is most likely near the 100 item mark and I've never had a problem. They have a good return policy and very explicitly tell you how to get hold of them!

I enjoy CollectiblesToSell's stuff when I can get their friggin pictures to load. That's about half the time.

  • Marty, I thank you for the info bud, I didn't know that, and for what little I paid for that auction, I don't care...it's no big loss if it isn't a cameo reverse.

Well russ let me know if your willing to bid 3 freaking figures on this one, cause if you are I won't bother putting my snipe in and it might save you a couple bucks.

Too bad you missed the 1966 set I sniped last week, had a great nickel in it and the set only cost me $9.

Did the nickel look anything like this?

Of course, you got a better deal. I had to pay $12.77 for the set that one came from. image

Man, I thought I periodically put out some outrageous bids on SMS sets ... once again, Russ, damn nice Jeff. You are beginning to bore me with them ... how about some cents, dimes or quarters for a change of pace? image
