Modern submission.

LINE # CERT # COIN DATE DENOMINATION VARIETY COUNTRY GRADE

1 21815033 1965 5C SMS USA MS66CA
2 21815034 1966 5C SMS USA MS66DC
3 21815035 1966 10C SMS USA MS66
4 21815036 1968-S 10C USA PR69DC
5 21815037 1969-D 50C USA MS64
6 21815038 1970-S 50C USA PR68DC

Date Received: 11/29/2004
Date Shipped: No Date Specified

Nailed the grade on the 1965 SMS Jefferson at MS66CAM. Slightly better than breakeven on that one, but it was more of a setup coin for line #2 anyway.

I had the 1966 SMS Jefferson going MS65DCAM, but thought it had a shot at 66DCAM. BTW, Don predicted it would do better than MS65. Right on Don!

I had the 1966 SMS Roosevelt at MS66CAM, but I knew the cameo was light so I'm not surprised.

Nailed the grade on the 1968-S proof Roosevelt at PR69DCAM.

I had the 1969-D Kennedy going MS65. PCGS hates me.

Nailed the grade on the 1970-S Proof Kennedy at PR68DCAM.

PS: That's only the 24th DCAM granted for the 1966 SMS Jefferson in any grade.

PSS: I pulled it from a set I picked off for $12.77. image

    hey Russ

nice grades. the 1965 Jeffersons are difficult to find with clear fields and the haze-look is all but impossible to eliminate on most of them, hence that halo effect. with that 1969-D Kennedy, the strike looks soft even though the overall appearance is pleasant. with the 1970 dated Kennedy, aren't you about ready to give up trying for the 69DCAM?? i think that's in the same class as the 1955-D Washington Quarter in MS67-----PCGS will only give the higher grade to a coin that is ultra-superior to any other. funny, put a 1969 where the date is and they'd probably holder it at 69DCAM.

Impressive. You know your specialty very well. I'm no Kennedy half expert (I could tell an accent hair from regular if they were both in front of me...but if I only had one coin and had to say yes or no, I'm not so sure...), but they must have dinked you on that 69-D due to below average strike. Reverse seems a tad 'mushy' from the image. The surfaces on it look smooth as a babies butt. Nice looking coins.

Great going Russ! But I really like the 68S Dime! I know the other coins are tough, but that one just looks really good for a clad proof in the late 68,69 and 70 series. image

What can I say, but YOU SUCK! We are slowly converting Russ into a Jeff collector, although they likely only remain a profit center for his JFK pursuits. I have scored 66 CAMs on the '66, but have yet to break through to DCAM. Congrats, Russ. image

Congratulations Russ on your grades. I really like the 1966 nickel and the 1968 dime. Please favor us with the market value of these coins (except the 1969 half).

Nice looking coins Russ. That 70S Kennedy looks so darn good it almost looks fake. Congrats.

YOU SUCK! The 70 Kennedy looks nice, what's wrong with it? Looks like the O in dollar has something in it. Anything else? I have a 64 Kenedy in 68DCAM with a SMALL spot on the bottom of the Y in liberty, it's nicer cameo than my 69 DCAM 1964 Kennedy. I haven't seen ANY DCAM or CAM Jeffersons for sale either raw or slabbed here in Delaware. Do you guys import them all to California and keep them there? I need one for my tpye set. The 1965 cameo coins seem to have less cameo than the 1966 and the 1967 SMS coins yet still garner the CAM/DCAM designation. Ever notice that? Ray

Nice coins. They killed you on the '69-D half.
