PCGS Grades are In!!

1 21845984 1878-CC S$1 USA MS64
2 21845985 1882-CC S$1 USA MS63
3 21845986 1883-CC S$1 USA MS64
4 21845987 1891-CC S$1 USA AU58

Overall, not bad for my first PCGS submission!!

The 78-CC I bought raw for $230 based on a crappy scan on Ebay. Thought it was 63 shot-64, got what I was hoping for!!

I thought the 91-CC was a possible BB (it is album toned, but thought it may have been lightly cleaned before I put it in the album 25 years ago), so was pleased it got graded. image

I got mine in today also:

    1927 $2 1/2 USA MS62
    1883 G$1 USA Not Genuine
    1854 G$1 Type 1 USA AU58
    1922 $20 USA MS64

I am rather suprised at the 1883 but the two MS coins I thought were AU58.

    CC, CC, CC, CC.

How monotonous. Don't you get tired of all them double-C's? image

(On the other hand, I'd never get tired of a bunch of MS coins with single C's on 'em...) image

... and I wouldn't mind havin' some more of the double-C's, now that I think of it...

Thanks. Probably qualifies as a "nice rip" but not quite a "you suck"

Pleasant surprise when you think you have 58s and they come bak 63. That "Not Genuine" piece concerns me though. There's a lesson to be learned there though. Examine it closely and see if you can make out why.

ajc - I agree on the "Not genuine" - learn from it and, how about posting a nice pic of both the obv. and rev.? I'd be interested to see why it was BB'd.

I am not very good at pictures but when I get it back I will see what I can do. The good thing is that the dealer I go to will let me trade anything in for the price I bought it for something else.
