Does PCGS cover CAM/DCAM coins that appear to have been artificially Cameo'd?
I have a 64 AH CAM half dollar that I bought about 2 or 3 years ago. I don't recall it looking this way then, but when I pulled it out, it looks like the "cameo" is beginning to affect areas directly next to the portrait and eagle.
Does PCGS cover this type of issue?
What would I need to do? Who to contact?

<< <i>If it is determined that the frost was added to the coin, PCGS should/will be willing to take care of it under their grading guarantee. Contact PCGS and ask to whose attention the coin should be sent. >>
Mark, thanks for the reply. Do you have a name at PCGS as to whom I should contact? Anyone on the forum?

Yours looks like it may have been bleached.

All you do is submit the coin for Presidential Review under the terms of their grading guarantee. Fill out all the paperwork and submit - check Presidential Review. Fill out the form with all the info - including payment method. I usually attach a note as well. If PCGS agrees with you, they will stand by their product. They will not charge you for the Presidential review and will reimburse you for your expenses. It helps if you have documentation of what you paid - i.e. invoice, etc.
In both of my cases PCGS backed their product and made me whole. This is one reason why >95% of my slabs are PCGS. PCGS is one class act when dealing with this type of problem.
