Guess The Grade: 1957 Roosevelt (Lg Photo's)

The coin and photo's aren't mine but I'm considering this coin for my Birth Year Set. Just wondering what you guys think about the grade and looks of the coin. I'm trying to find coins that are a close match to my ICON quarter I won from Baley. Thanks for the help!!! I'll reveal the grade later. Lee

Too small a pic to tell if it's got any hairlines but the color is pretty

This coin appears to be a proof, is so, impossible to call from a image as hairlines cannot be seen.

This sure looks like a toned proof...

Just got home Boys !

Im gonna Guess Proof 68

But !,i havent seen many toned proofs,so having said that,the second guess is MS67

I'd guess 67 but as LucyBop said you can't tell from a picture.

Indeed it's probably spectacular in person with great toning but it looks vaguely circulated with the way the light is hitting the upper cheek.

I'll guess it's a stunning PR-67 CAM.

Clad,

High grade Roosie proofs from 57 will smoetimes show that shadow.

My thoughts now are the same as I had before I saw the slab... can't grade a proof from an image... and the plastic isn't too... trustworthy... that's a nice way of saying it...

How can you guys grade from a flat one dimensional picture not using a loop? Isn't it just a guess without being able to hold it up close, turn it, and examine it more closely?

It is almost entirely guess with a proof. A little experience will help you
fill in invisable detail, but you're still just guessing. It's easier with uncs,
and still a guess.
