interesting Kennedy

I recently picked up a 1979 Type 2 Anthony Proof Set. I cracked the coins out so that I could send it in to be graded, and the kennedy is "bent" Starting at or around Kennedy's Chin, the rest of the coin has a slope to it. Is it worth anything? Is there anything that I can do with it?

I'm 99.999% sure it's post striking damage. Probably caused by the automated tools which stuffed those into the proof sets.

That sounds odd. The mint had to pound a lot of the '68 and '69 proofs into
the cases with a heavy rubber hammer and a block of wood. This may have
been used on a few later coins judging by how difficult some are to remove.
(like the '79 and '80 dollars).

I've never seen a bent proof in the case though. Isn't there some sort of marking
on the edges where the deflection is greatest or at the center of the bend?

There is what appears to be a stress line coming from the y in liberty towards the back of the head at an upward diagonal slant. and a line on the back right of the eagle wing. It was wierd, because it was the easiest proof set I have ever cracked.
