I'll take it for a $10 BIN!!!!

RussRuss Posts: 48,514 ✭✭✭
So, I spot this set on eBay with a BIN of $10. Obvious strongly cameo'd obverse, obvious Accented Hair.

image

I was REALLY hoping for a DCAM, but alas it was not to be. Set came in today.

image

Cameo plus obverse with a cameo reverse - and NO SPOTS!!! A single very small hairline in the upper left field of the obverse. Should grade PR68CAM and, if it does, it'll be my fourth. Current pop is 35/0.

I sure wish it'd had been a DCAM, though! Man, I'm greedy. image

    Decent catch Russ!

Don - I just love those 1956 mint sets. Yours looks like the one I have. '56 was a very fine year image

Don't feel bad, George, I think additional contact with the seller ( "is that a milk spot by the I in Liberty? Could you send a close-up?" ) might have helped the buyer.image

A 68 cameo accented hair sounds like a nice coin. Any recent ebay sales?image

    Joe,

No time for contact. That was a BIN as soon as I saw it!

Russ knows that Accented Hair Kennedys are often in the same package as pointed 9 dimes.

So does Don. When I showed him the auction, he knew immediately it was an AH. He and Marty should take a vacation together to some locale with no electricity and no way home - please!
