I should call the guy and offer him my roll of 50. I'm sure I could come up with a roll of them, RPM#2 has a filled 5 in later die states, and I have plenty of those in inventory. Basically, the whole story is a bunch of bulls&*t. I'll have to call Tom on Monday to see what he says about this crock. Amazing his name is tied to this complete whitewash. Just who the hell does this guy think he's fooling??

Now that I think about it, my bet is Mr. Bluemoon is not expecting any $395,000.00 Sales, he just wants to make an impression as a big shot high-end dealer. My guess is he's trying to put together a list of suckers and get their phone numbers after talking to them awhile to see what they collect. I'd bet he's got the "inside track" on the "really rare stuff" hot off these shipwreaks and will sell it if you can keep quiet about the deals so as not to get you both in trouble. I know for a fact that some of the peddlers of ole Mel Fisher's counterfits used this approach.

At least the shipping charge is reasonable. $3.99 for a $400,000 item.

In reality, sellers like these are a real detriment to the hobby. Of course, he is not going to snare some rube to pay $400,000 for this crap, but what about a lesser scam for lesser money?

I ran the text through BSAnalizer 5.5, which is a wonderful program that automatically deletes all the BS from eBay auctions leaving only the pertinent facts and this is what it says:
