I just picked this up--any opinions as to grade? I'm assuming it's a common variety, but if anyone cares to attribute it, I'd be grateful.

    I would call it an F-12 with a weak strike, but I have little experience in grading these, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

    It could be a F12... the wear on the Reverse seems excessive though... The Obv does look closer to F15/VF20... but with the eagle obliterated on the reverse, that affected my grade, though it's possible it could be a characteristic of the variety... I have a Half-Dime where the top part of the shield is obliterated, but that was not caused by wear, but instead because of a die bulge...

    I would agree that it's around the VG10 - F12 range. It is also the straight date variety. This is the last 3 high version.

    I'm in 100% agreement with George on that one....Varlis your coin has exactly the "look" i go for in my busties! I love that blushing lady liberty.
