I actually got one of the SGS graded coins in a trade I did on the boards a few months ago....

Its a 1957 PR69 cent (according to them)

It had DEEP scratches
3 Fingerprints (that I can count)
Black "crud" on the reverse
and a mirror finish that was less then desireable

It is total garbage that companies like this can exist.

That seller has an amazing number of SGS coins at auction this week. I guess that is one way to make money. Apparently there are loads of folks buying that stuff. I just couldn't adopt that business model...

Not to me. I spend them in the condition one is likely to get in an SGS holder.

I have two 1969 proof Kennedys jangling in my pocket right now that I just pulled from sets from which I only wanted the nickels. They soon will put a smile on some clerk's face somewhere.
