GIVEAWAY (Winner in 1'st post)

Today I received three Conder tokens. This is one of them. Pictured below is the obverse of the prize token. Well it's not actually this one, this one is very special and I'll explain when the winner is announced, but one exactly like it.
When the contest is over I'll show the reverse, but for now let me tell you about this one and give you a few clues to start you off. The token pictured was manufactured by Matthew Boulton. Engraved by C.H. Kuchler. Mr. Boulton considered this to be his most beautiful piece.
Your job, if you would like to win one like it is to tell me which token this is.
The token up for grabs is uncirculated, mostly red with nice surfaces. It is further accentuated with some nice toning. A very nice prize indeed.
A couple of you already know about this one, but are still welcome to enter if you wish. If you know what it is and wish to offer another clue, please feel free to help the others out. The winner will be drawn from all correct answers when I feel it has run its course.

I used Michael Schmidt's "Legend Index of English Conder Tokens" to determine that this token was D&H Hertfordshire 4 when I could have just read all of the posts in this thread. This token was issued in 1795 for general circulation, the edge reads "PAYABLE AT BISHOPS STORTFORD." I have considered the reverse of this token with it's river scene to be one of the most interesting Conder designs since the time I bacame aware of it.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak here is the reverse and a little more information. According to the seller it is a trial piece, or pattern and one of the original strikings by Boulton. A proof from his collection, this one also came with a letter of provenance. You can read the edge lettering from 4 feet away and that is with my old eyes.

Boz - Very neat coin/token!

I am very excited to have won your giveaway! This will be my very first Conder token - and now maybe I can learn what they are!

Maybe you can give me a brief description of it, so that I can keep it with the coin. I have not been able to get a book yet about World Coins and/or tokens, but hope to get one in a few wks. I am waiting for my ship to come in.

Thank you so much for your generosity - and I can't wait to see it! I just started collecting darkside coins about a month ago, and am getting more and more excited about all of the unique coins out there.
