MS64/65 perhaps? I have a tough time seeing wear on those incuse design coins!

haven't had any gold grading experience, but just for strike and cleanliness of the coin, I am sure it would grade very nicely. That is a very nice strike.
This is a very dumb ass thread. - Laura Sperber - Tuesday January 09, 2007 11:16 AM image

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.

Nice coin. I confess -- I couldn't grade those incuse Indian quarter eagles or half eagles to save my life.

Looks MS to me. Decent strike, a little flattening on the top of the wing. I'd go 63, but I don't know how to grade these very well.

Real nice. When I finish my IHC run, I think this series may be next. I know crap about these, except that is is nice.

Silly question, but where is the high points on these 2 1/2 dollar indians, Where should we be looking for rub at. Can someone put some Red Circles on this picture to show those of us that do not have a clue. If anyone has a slider, can they post a picture of it as well..

    Thanks

Looks 63ish to be, but when in doubt -- or if you find incuse gold the most impossible series of all to make sense of -- take the safe (aka Professional Grader) approach:

    When in doubt, don't.

Sorry, those images aren't sharp enough for someone to know if the coin is a high grade AU example or a choice mint state piece.

Even with clearer images, it is often/usually impossible to know a coin's grade without being able to have it in hand.

I'm guessing AU but these are just about the hardest coins to grade from images of which I know.

Mark thanks a bunch, Excellant site. I know I will spend some time going through it thoughly, and quite often. Nice to have so much info at a click of a mouse away. I love the color coding they use as well. I'm sure there are many more like myself that need pictured referances. Though it is nice to read descriptive explanations, the visuals make it a lot easier.

    Once again many thanks.
