What is the SGS grading service?

They are not really a grading service. Just a fancy holder for raw coins.

I can think of many pejorative phrases for the acronym SGS that might fit some people's perceptions of this pseudo-service.

Aw shucks, that means my MS-68 isn't the lowest graded one anymore. They also have some slabs that have circulated coins in them but they are not graded.
