Would you buy from this seller? updated

The person has zero feedback, just became an ebay member a few days ago, and all the listings are 3 day auctions, plus they are from Canada. Those are all the flags that went up for me. On the other hand, they do accept paypal, they did answer one of my emails, and the items are not really that expensive, Unlike what a scammer might try selling. Does the seller look legit?.....link

    Scary…...reeks of a SCAM.

Amateurish, no return policy, no shipping costs, unprofessional....sorry, no bids from me!

  • I might bid on that silver 1 oz. myself.

  • It does raise a flag that the s/h charge is not mentioned, but the coins look good (even if the pictures aren't that great). Except for the lack of stated s/h, this is the kind of seller that I look for to get a good deal. It's taking a risk, but the possible return is worth it. JMHO

At least one of his auctions has an ambitious guarantee. Do you think PCGS will grade this XF-40 or better?

    1871-S $20 gold

I'll wait and see before I bid, though.

I would be very hesistant buying a coin costing more than fifty bux or so from an unproven seller.

I did it once- $350 worth of Irish coins, and that turned out OK in the end, but my nerves were wrecked by the time the coins arrived.

  • He is Montreal which would make me more wary. The entire customs thing, especially with gold could buy him enough time to amscray.
  • I emailed the seller for s/h charges. - 4.50 (without insurance) and (6.75) with insurance. That's a little steep unless the items are being shipped Priority which she didn't specify.

If I knew more about the terms, I'd probably be inclined to go after a small item if the price was right. I try to remember that I had zero feedback once, too...though I think they'd do themselves a favor by disclosing all their terms.
  • I see this seller is now NARU. I guess that answers my question.

  • It seems to be that the only reports that eBay is listening to are those submitted through powerseller links. The normal form and even their Coin Violation links do not seem to get any action. When we report through our powerseller link, we are starting to get results. It's very frustrating. All reports need to be considered - not just those from powersellers. Especially since many of these scam artists are also powersellers.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • He's not NARU'ed anymore
'My name is...... Shakezula, the mic rulah, the old schoola, you wanna trip, I'll bring it to ya.....'
  • And back with private feedback.

What makes you think that? If you click on his auction, it still says NARU next to his name. It also says it on his profile. He's not back.
