I thought when you picked an icon it was yours??

Just noticed a new member, Grant1922, picked the same icon as me. I thought I was the "Colt 45". Looks like we now have two of us.

Yep, I originally used mutley, then I saw another guy using it and I didn't notice the name right away. So I thought his posts were my posts. Changed that right away.

Maybe you're the "Colt 45" and the other person is the "Colt 45s". What a great name for a baseball team.

Yeah Wayne, somehad had stolen your old icon of the 1944 steel cent!

At one time, there where about 4 or 5 people using mine in the last year or so. I don`t have much problem with it as I find it kinda flattering that someone new comes on and uses it. I haven`t noticed anyone lately using my icon.

I dunno.....how are you supposed to know if someone else is already using it?

I made my own animated icon from scratch, so I guess it'd be weird for me to discover someone else using it.

Perhaps like those insane identity theft commercials with the odd voices that're on TV!!!

Mine's very common. It's only appropriate and would be more appropriate if more people used it.

mine is homemade and nobody ever knows what it is, so hopefully it will keep people from trying to steal it.

Try a plain and boring one. I do not know who originally supplied mine but I kinda like it. the only other person that I have seen use it actually animated it.

I might think about changing to that one that Wayne Herndon uses thoughimage

I remember it too...and, you did it in response to my asking about xray'ing through an unopened GSA dollar box image

Now, the scary thing about icons was just over a year ago I think (right after I joined I think) when a lot of the people went on a "good guy"'s icon warpath image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

There is another person on here using my icon, but oh well, I still
    own the coin! image

I also created the logo for another well-known member, who shall remain
nameless. I told them about the royalty arrangement, but he/she wasn't biting!

Agreed. I suppose if someone wanted to use my icon, I should look at it as a form of flattery that they'd want to use *my* coin. image

I'd think courtesy is applicable here. I've had excellent results, and made a friend along the way.
Everybody having a unique icon sure helps me identify people easier.

Nothing on the "net" is owned, I thought. I'll keep "The Flag" icon... I used to use the "Iron Chef" icon, but was told to stop(???) image

I don't think anyone will be using mine.

    Loan Shark,

Might I suggest picking a butt-ugly icon similar to mine (but not the same as mine, please). image

Nobody else will want it and you'll soon be immediately identified by it.
