    I hope not-- a coin isn't a coin to me unless it's metal! Joel Anderson-- great dealer! I've gotten a lot of neat old stuff from him over the years. His table always draws quite a crowd at coin shows out here in the west.

    Joel is a great dealer, and that is a neat item. While I prefer metal, that sort of plastic is kinda cool.

    Imagine slabbing something like that- plastic within plastic!

    Using acrylic is as weird as using blue or red titanium to mint coins, sounds more like a way of marketing collector coins.

    You got something against Keeling-Cocos? Or New Zealand decimal practice coins?

    With petroleum prices rising.
    Plastic becomes more expensive.
    Heck, a plastic penny may be worth more than a copper plated zinc one real soon.

    I think the real problem would be worn down plastic coins would be really easy to fake.
    Thus it's difficult to prevent counterfeiting.
