I hope the person I sold this to is a member of this forum. I made the mistake of selling my most expensive coins instead of the majority of my coins the last time I was between jobs, over 3 years ago:

Since I still have not been able to learn to post pix you'll just have to take my word for it. Better still,, if you WOULD like to see it go to Washington Quarters - circulation strikes 1932-1964 and find D Poole's set- I think he's ranked # 5. All his coins have pix. Find the PCGS 67 1940-D (pop 18/0) and there she is. Man, I really hated to sell that coin. EIGHTEEN with NONE higher

I can only dream of having something like that right now...
I don't think I still have a picture of it, but a while back I needed to raise some money and sold an NGC MS-64 1829 bust half dime. I've had seller's remorse ever since.
Half Disme in CHOICE CHOICE VF+. ( probably a ms-77+ by todays standards on these)
Paid 6 grand for it then sold it several months later cause I needed the money. Sure it was a score even then, but man oh man if I could have only kept it these 9 years or so.......Arghhhhh.
1877 Morgan Half in copper ( I have a photo but still don't know how to post the thing). Finally sold it to an engineer for GM a long time ago. What a gem too. Sold it for 2500. ( More Arghhhh's)
The Morgan dollars ( two pieces, obverse and reverse) in copper, incuse design. I'm not even going to say what they sold for.
The most valuable coins I owned that I wish I still owned were sold back in the day before cameras and I got along with photographing coins, so I have no photos to post of them. I can, however, describe the coins...
1. 1794 cent, S-24 I believe, Ch. AU condition or better. I bought this in Pirmasens, Germany in 1989, sold it to a major auction broker for far more than I paid for it. The coin was a nice, solid brown, and I couldn't see any wear on it. It still had some sparkle of luster in the sunlight. I really wish I still had this one.
2. Jos. Lesher Referendum Dollar, AU condition, ser. #791. I bought this one out of a German coin dealer's junk box for silver weight. Sold it to yet another major auction broker, and really wish I still had this one. All the detail was sharp and pristine, and the coin had not been cleaned.
I don't have a picture but it is a 1921D morgan which was very lovely. MS64 but had good eye appeal, some light red toning and die breaks. It's the only coin I regret selling.
Gerry could have told you I would post this coin. This is by far the biggest mistake I have ever made with regard to my collection. Absolute insanity to have sold this coin. It's THE 1919-S in 66RD
I have to go read on how to post an image, sorry. I'll be back in a bit....

It's now in the Somebody-Else-On-This-Forum Collection.
Just look for one of the guys wearing this icon, whose name is also an automotive reference.
The same guy has some of my other past favorites. Like a blazing white PCGS MS64 FH 1917 T1 quarter, and another past icon coin of mine:
shoulda sent it to ANACS back in 89,sold it for 42 D money back then

I passed on a sweet MS 63 Hawaiian commem a few months back that I could've gotten from a board member for $1500...that one still gnaws at me...
If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
