2004 Ultra WNBA is finally out! What took so long??

What's the deal here?? It would have been a great year to cash in on one of the best WNBA rookie classes ever. Fleer Ultra is the only set released so far and they are so late, alot of the buzz is gone. It just blows my mind that companies like Upper Deck and Fleer and everyone else can continually overlook the WNBA market. I realize that the WNBA does not compare to the NBA, but for all those trees that are wasted on brands that totally bomb, you'd think they could make just one set for us WNBA followers.

Anybody else have any thoughts?

    This is all I need to know about the WNBA and why I'l never be a fan... Connecticut has a team named the Sun (all those bright sunny Hew Haven days must have been the inspiration) and their home court is a casino! I bet Don Rickles does the warm up. No offense, but I'd rather watch Little League.

    Why anyone would buy WNBA cards is beyond me.

    Its my opinion that any talk about the WNBA on these boards should be grounds for immediate suspension..........

    Whether you guys want to admit it or not, there is a market for WNBA that only Fleer has capitalized on so far. Just check out the prices on ebay!

    I'm just saying, with only 1 brand out (fleer ultra), the rookies will always be in demand. There's no place else to get a Diana Taurasi or Alana Beard rookie.

    I grew up near Hutchinson, MN where Lindsay Whalen is from, and she's more popular than Kevin or Randy or whoever you want to name. I'm trying to collect as many of her rookies as possible and giving them to friends and family.

    Lindsay was fantastic the last four years. Are you taking the next step and submitting any to PSA? I'm going to send in some Gophers Hockey for fun.
