Another new Conder Token (Lancashire)

Lancashire Halfpenny Token D & H-58 1794.

EDGE: "PAYABLE.IN.LANCASTER.LIVERPOOL.&.MANCHESTER."

This one was manufactured by Matthew Boulton. I like it because it anticipates the Soho copper coinage of 1797.

    As Wayne pointed out, one could probably do a Conder token collection just on the ship theme alone. Neat.

    If I were to find a "holey" example of that Lancashire token, I'd wear it on my vest. But if it had four thousand holes in it (even rather small ones), I don't think there would be much of it left. image
