Do you think PCGS/CU will continue to allow ads in sigs?

Now that PCGS has gone all out with the paid banner ads, how long do you think it will be before they ban ads in sigs? I can think of a few out there that are particularly egregious -- one advertising a photography service, another advertising rocks, and so forth. Folk like Kelly's Coins and Pinnacle pay good money for banner ads -- should these other folk be permitted to continue like advertising gratis?

Even an eBay link might one day be verboten...

Don't see any change in this, nor with the BST forum. Would make no sense.

Don't know but I think the sigs should be smaller.
Some of them are HUGE and just get repetitive.

I would have no problem with a link, a few lines, a small graphic, but, again, some of them are huge and very distracting.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • I think you are more likely to see this in your sig line:

Would this be an annoying sig?

I don't see them doing anything about sigs. Too hard to manage. Now, they could optionally eliminate all sigs. But trying to weed out ads would not be worth the effort.
  • Guilty as charged - is anyone offended by mine?

I know of a forum with paid banners that specifically prohibits any advertising in sig lines.

All right!! I'll stop advertising my registry set sorry.image
  • I sincerely believe that some people want to pass their wishes on to the masses. If you don't like what's in someone's sig line, don't read it the next time! Hell, that's so simple a child could understand it!
As for size, there is a restriction, but it does not get enforced.

Now, everyone try to get along!!!

It's not about liking what's in someone's sig. Kelley's Coins pays real money for their banner ad to be displayed on the forum pages. Why should someone else get their ad displayed for free, merely because they post a message? The banner for one person's photography service is larger than the paid banners -- is this right?

Personally, I don't have an opinion on it. But I wouldn't be surprised if PCGS did.

Do you or anyone else have a problem with mine? I'll be happy to change it.
