What do you think this Franklin grades?

Someone came in to a local shop with a sheet of (10) 49-p Franklins in 2x2's. The guy wanted 20.00 a piece for them, and most were AU coins, with the exception of 2. The owner passed, but asked me if I wanted any. So I bought this one from the two MS coins. The other MS coin was white, but had heavy hits in the prime areas and bell lines were not as strong?

what do ya think?

The next day I was told I should dip the coin, but I prefer originality over dipped!

I got to look at that piece the other day, and it's got more luster than the pics show. Nice coin. I'll leave my opinion of the coin out of the thread, but I wasn't the one that tried to dip it.

64 and FBL, very nice!

need to see a little better of the cheek and chin region, could be 63 or shot 65 depending on the action there. super original looking surfaces and a very well struck reverse, the luster is subdued by the toning but stil nice. I love the coin at $20.

63...Can't tell if it's FB. It appears to be but there's shadowing from the left of the bell crack. Nice score though.

Nice Frank! Its a FBL. I'll say its a light 64 but a strong 63. The only thing is the ticks across the cheek and little ones in the hair. I'll lean more to 64 on this one. Can't see much from the date down but if that area is all clear then your good to go. Excellent buy!
