Someone's going to get burned on this AT job

Let's see, raw MS 67+ coin with at best questionable toning.... Hummm

$800 bid??? Bet it's a MS 64 at best and that toning looks AT.

    That coin has been baked.

And speaking of questionable color, what about that nickel you are using as an icon? image

Oh man, and it's my favorite commem too. If these people are going to bake coins, why can't they just stick to junk?

Yeah, I found that pic on the net, it's probably AT but it still looks cool, unlike that poor Stone Mnt, one of my favorite commems.

Email the seller and ask why they want so much for a artifically toned coin.
  • im not a big tone guy but, dont you normally see toning from the outside in ?

Good answer! The reason I thought it was funny was that your icon is as blatant an AT job as that half. The difference is there are millions of nickels to play with, but it is a shame to ruin one of those halves like that.

"Well, cause it's a MS67+" is probably his answer. Besides, it's the 2 crazy bidders that ran it up to $800- I'm sure the seller is probably as shocked.

It dosen't show what the reserve was. Guess there is no way to tell what it was now.

    COIN TRENDS VALUE $3,250.00 PCGS.COM AT $3,600.00

Maybe the AT means it's AT'ed image

Russ the reason people keep bidding on this trash is because they think there is a Coin Santa Claus. They don't believe it on Dec 25th but for soom reason they do with charlatans on sleezeBay.
