Why would anyone throw away money on this?

This dealer has had many estate auctions, all pretty much the same. Look at the feedback rating. I would never throw my money away like that. Like a lot of the neg's say, they bought just pocket change. Hmmm, I wonder if I could sell my pocket change on ebay...

I don't get it either. I also don't understand why eBay doesn't boot sellers who rack up that many negatives and neutrals that quickly.

Hmmmmmmmm, if he is breaking up the inventory into 4 auctions of 10,000, 10,000, 10,000 and 7,000, why is this auction for 3,000 pieces?

The auction is pretty clear on what you get. The negatives look to me like sour grapes. Most of the comments are positive (as it appears from the lucky ones) while the negatives appear to be from the unlucky ones. The negatives are not that the seller gave them anything other than was advertised, but rather they didn't like what they got from the grab bag. I hate that eBay allows negatives for no good reason.

He had an auction end within the last hour that was identical to this one. I wonder at what level your positive feedback has to drop to for you to get the boot?

tHEY SHOULDN'T BE PUTTING PENNYS FROM THE 70S & 80'S IN THERE. Oops sorry about the caps. Sounds like to me that they must've tossed about 1500 pennies in the auctions just to sweeten their profit.

Auctions like that just give me the willies- knowing grandma's running the racket doesn't make it any better......

I actaully bought 4 lots just out of curiosity, and got a decent morgan and silver eagle...It was actually a good profit, but the other 2 coins were like 1980 pennies. I bet most of their lots do consist of the pennies~I just got lucky!

Because they think they are getting a bargain. Others pay too much for items because of self pride or snobbery. Either way, they are not happy when they realize that they have paid too much. For some that realization comes later rather than sooner. For these folks though im sure the realization sets in pretty quick!

Why would anyone throw away money on this?
