My Wayte Raymond toned 1892 Morgan

K6AZ · June 17, 2004 3:41PM

Well, since Frattlaw has posted a pretty Peace Dollar, in the interest of equal time I present my Wayte Raymond toned 1892 Morgan:

Craton · June 17, 2004 3:45PM

As usual, pretty coin Eric. I see those holders on occasion on ebay and wonder if it would be worth the trouble of buying one of them and trying to tone some coins. I guess I should have said trouble/time ....... I don't know if I could wait the 20 or more years to watch them tone.
Good lord it's late in your neck of the woods!

ElectricEye · June 17, 2004 3:47PM

you suck!

K6AZ · June 17, 2004 3:51PM

<< you suck! >>

Aw, come on Rick. I would have never let loose of that PQ 63 for a plain old white 64. If I hadn't found this one, that 63 would still be in my set.

stman · June 17, 2004 3:53PM

Nice eye-appeal on that one. Great image as well. No prints?

With what I have to deal with, I'm liable to be up and time of the day or night. And sometimes for days at a time.

ElectricEye · June 17, 2004 3:55PM

let me know when you upgrade to 65 on the 92

Prints? I don't see no stinkin' prints!

I know my friend. I often raz you about being up so late but I know there is nothing funny about it at all.

stman · June 17, 2004 3:57PM

Like I said "no prints?" can't have no fun that way.

At $3000+? Not in my lifetime.

Craton · June 17, 2004 4:14PM

I have never been a big fan of dark toning but how could you NOT love those two coins of Erics' ?

Hadleydog · June 17, 2004 4:15PM

Nice coin, Eric.

Very cool pair, stman...........no matching prints?

K6AZ · June 17, 2004 4:16PM

<< I have never been a big fan of dark toning but how could you NOT love those two coins of Erics' ? >>

Stman loves them Jason, to the point of continuously asking me to sell them. Not for sale.

stman · June 17, 2004 4:16PM

Just to be clear. K6Az owns the "Twins" that I posted. I been trying to pry them outta his hands for a while now. Hey, I can try anyways.

I have noticed him begging more then a few times. I think I have even seen you tease him with them a couple of times

quarterjack · June 17, 2004 4:22PM

Begging? that's it I don't beg for nothing.

But yes he has indeed teased me with them on occasion. That's alright I really don't buy Morgans anymore, unless of course it's something that strikes me.... such as these. Hey I ain't begging now.

K6AZ · June 17, 2004 4:34PM

<< Hey I ain't begging now. >>

Well, that makes us even because I ain't selling!

GAT · June 17, 2004 4:50PM

Think I have seen those twins before. Up in MN somewhere.

JadeRareCoin · June 17, 2004 5:22PM

I like those twins more than Dolly's twins.

razorface1027 · June 17, 2004 7:03PM

eagle7 · June 17, 2004 10:02PM

Beautiful Morgan! Thanks for sharing!

FrattLaw · June 17, 2004 11:02PM

Wow, those matching crescents are kool. I love the luster on that the 92 Morgan. WR toning I think can be some of the prettiest out there. Very subtle and a good indication that the coin came from am old time collection.

I wish I could find crescents like that on Peace $
