Ironically, the seller is located about 35 miles from my home in a town that used to be my stomping grounds. It's embarrassing to think I might know who it is!!!!image

But, enough of that. Look at the scans that are provided in the listings.

Funny thing is that I think I might use the BIN to get the coins for my set. Well, that'll tell me who the seller is too, such a clever guy.

    The coin he shows is really an 03, not an 04. At least that is what a cert number lookup reveals.


    Keets, Why would you have hung out in Wickliffe? Is that where The Rare Cherry was located? image

    no, that's where "Dominick's" and about a dozen other watering holes are located. i met my wife there and seemed to end up working in Wickliffe/Willoughby for about 15 years. that's also where my buddy hangs his shingle now, though i don't go visit him as often as i used to.

    hey now, i had a nice watering hole there, also. it's called Manny's Place now but until about 15 years ago it was called Mitchells. if i had all the money i spent there into coins at that time you guys would be calling me Mr. Keets!!!!image

    Ray Mitchell was a funny guy. he had signs on the wall that said if you "swore" you'd be kicked out right along side of the ones from the state about mandatory eight years in jail for carrying a firearm into a bar. i had a guy pull a gun on me and a buddy over a pool game and they actually hollered at me for cussing as his friends whisked him out the door and spiritted him away!!! Ray had his priorities.

    ..........and a joke we used to tell----what do you get when you graduate from high school in West Virginia?? a diploma and a roadmap to Eastlake, Ohio!!

    At first, I just glanced at the auction and noticed that the date in the nickel was etched out....but, when I thought about it, it makes sense.
    He is doing a pre-sale and states that

    So, he doesnt want someone to complain about the text not equaling the picture (many do that on here image ).
    So, he gives an example of what it will look like...makes sure the "3" doesn't show in "2003" so no one complains about it, and states it is a pre-sale for his 2004 nickels.

    Sounds kosher to me.

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
