Opinion on holders for raw coins
I was wondering what some of your opinions/experience were concerning holders for raw Unc. coins.
Are cardboard 2 x 2's just as good as air tights? Are air tights with ring inserts better than regular
air tights? Are Cointain holders just as good as 2 x 2's or airtights? Is there still a better alternative? Will any of these
harm uncirculated coins over time?:confused

<< <i>The coinworld holders are really nice and you can get them in sizes to fit an ANACS box or PCGS box. >>
I use these and like them, they allow storing of my raw coins with the certified ones in pcgs/ngc boxes.
They are something like $1.75 each sold in groups of three.

Placing a raw coin into a non-pvc flip causes "flip rub" which is similar but not as severe as slide marks. Flip rub is caused by inserting and removing of the coin, and the coin moving about within the flip, and since they contain no PVC the flip is stiff and may scratch the coins. This is especially noticeable on proofs.
