Free economy crossover submission for a YN

WACoinGuyWACoinGuy Posts: 1,225 ✭✭✭✭
In this thread, I announced that I'm putting together a group economy crossover submission. I also solicited funds towards a YN economy submission. I'm pleased to announce that we've raised enough for a YN to send an economy crossover submission along with our group submission!

So if you're a YN and you have a coin you'd like to crossover (has to be non-gold valued under $300), post a reply by Tuesday 6/15 at 5 PM PST. I'll do a random drawing and if you're chosen, I'll send your coin in for crossover for free!

What's your definition on YN? Under 18? 18 and Under? 21 and under?

Marty.....neither one of you would qualify even then!

But, I guess that's why you and Russ consider under 50 to be a YN to you image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Geez...why do we have to drag YNs into the crossover arena ??

Appreciate the COIN, not the SLAB !!!

ttt -- less than 5 hours to go and I only have 2 entrants. Though it sounds like maybe Russ and Marty should have a giveaway for an ON (old numismatist over 50). image

OK -- there were two entrants, so I flipped a coin. It came up tails, so JrGMan2004 is the winner. I'll PM you the details, and we'll see if we can't get that half-dime into a PCGS slab!

image Here's the coin I'm sending in, an ANACS VF30 1831 Half-Dime image The first are the scans, though I don't think either picture accurately shows the color. I should've reshot it, but I've already packaged it up to be shippedd. I've included both sets of pictures below. I think it has the possibility of crossing at VF35, but in reality, I believe it to be a nice VF30.

That's a nice looking coin! We're going to have a nice set of coins sent in for grading:

    1 large cent
    2 Lincoln cents
    2 Liberty nickels
    1 half dime
    8 Mercury dimes
    1 bust half
    1 Morgan dollar

    I'll keep everyone posted...

38 and under. Hey, they say the average age of collectors is rising, so maybe these days, 38 should qualify. image

Seriously, though -- nice coin. I like the original look to it.
