Today is bend Peaceman over day..... everyone join in.....

WTF.... Yesterday night I found a hard to find Peace $ VAM and asked the seller to put a BIN up so that I could purchase it. (I do not ask them to pull the auction, just put a BIN up for what they want for the coin... that way, everyone's happy) Heck, I'm not even breaking the rules...

This was real late at night... in the meantime, I email an aquaintance about the "find" and send them a photo of it.....

This morning I wake up, go to the auction only to find that the buy it now was indeed put up but it was already bought by..... you guessed it... the aquaintance I email the pic to...... WTF...

OK... Let's get Peaceman a little MORE pissed off..... each has the same issues.... I blab before I get the coin.... won't happen again....

That sucks. I take it you will no longer trust this aquaintance like you once did because of him or her going behind you back and doing this.

I haven't emailed them back after they indicated that "O.. I didn't know that was the coin"

    Let's review:

    1) I send them a picture of a really wierd almost one of a kind variety Peace dollar.
    2) They email back and say "wow, great find, nice coin"
    3) They magically find the exact same coin (and picture) on ebay this morning & buy it...
    4) They can't put 2 and 2 together .....

    right....

Geeez, you have had one bad week!!! Sorry to hear it-----I had a seller pull a BIN on a 1921 Peace a couple of weeks ago, so I feel your pain on that one. But the other one, that's just wrong!!!!

    That sucks dude!
Similar on a house that a friend had on contingency that I could have taken....since my other house plan fell through and this was a nice house. But, instead, I spent 3 more weeks, and $25,000 more, looking for another house.

Friends don't do that to friends...no excuses.

And, as an acquaintance, I wouldn't associate with them anymore....this doesn't even sound like an accident.
More likely......hey...Peaceman found a nice one....I wonder what else is out there? Oh, hey, there we go. Looks the same but this one is still available...maybe he changed his mind or something. Whatever, I am jumping on it now...it is mine! All mine!

If he was at all honorable, and did this after seeing/replying to your mail/pic, then he should give it to you for the price he paid.

I had a seller I emailed about some Ikes from 2 different auctions go ahead and combine them into a BIN incl shipping for my suggested price....I don't know if he (or anyone on ebay) can set up a "personal" auction, but I would have been PO'ed if someone had taken it after it was done special for me.

    Best of luck dude!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Hey, I like that idea, and while you're at it, just to annoy him some more drive a couple of prices really high. Get your pound of flesh +!!!

What a CREEP! I would email them and tell them - Gee, thought you were my friend - Sell it to me now, or forget that friendship. I will pay you exactly what you paid for it you scumbag. And then jack with him on eBay - outsnipe him, drive up prices, and don't reply to any emails or phone calls.

That happened to me once, at Christmas I wanted these aquamarine and diamond earrings - and emailed my brother/sis in law to show them ----- I got won the bid, but guess who drove the price up at the end and cost me some bucks ....... you guessed it. He said he was doing it for me???????? hmmmmmmmm

    TRUST THE MIRROR!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't know you well enough to bend you over for something. we all goof up. you'll find your coin some where else and probably in better condition than the one you lost. the person that you emailed about it will have a horrible case of hemmorhoids for the rest of his/her life.
