I must be going blind or senile

I posted that Gothic Crown and commented that "there was no blue in the fields" as was seen on the picture of the sale,,........WELL DUH it is not the same obverse.......after two days of looking at the coin it appears that the sale photo of the reverse IS the coin I received but the obverse photo was of a different coin, mine has a couple of rim nicks that are not on the original photo. He did purchase more than one at the Noble auction and got the photos mixed .

Nothing I can do now, not that I want too. Feedback was left and coin was removed from it holder. This one is great and I think worth the money without worrying about possible Artificial toning.

Lesson learned, don't get old (I'll be 60 in 3 weeks), get better glasses, and be more observantimage

That's a new one, pics of obverse and reverse of different coins. As long as you're happy, that's what counts.

    Did he acknowlege that mistake?

It's good that you like the coin, but certainly if I were the seller and I made that mistake, I would offer the coin pictured in the auction--if that is what the buyer wanted.

That's a mighty expensive coin to make a photo mistake on. Is it still worth what you paid with the rim nicks-would you have bought it if you had seen them?

On the other hand, like the man said, if you're happy with the overall result, that's all that counts.image

No, he did not and I won't push the issue. I have already been rather vociferous about the postage and having to pay the 4% paypal fee for him. He has not left me feedback yet, I will let it go and be very happy with the coin I have received.image
  • Still a lovely coin I say! But would be a little sad about a different coin then in photo.

That would have to be the coin he sent and another one, since he showed one side each of two coins. image

If as a seller I made that mistake--I would offer the person who purchased the coin the option to return it for the coin with the obverse picture. If they didn't want to, fine.

I realize two different coins were pictured.

I am glad Boz likes his coin, and the one he has is a beauty.
