A big tip of the hat to Cacheman...

I finally visited the website he has made showing the art of Karl Goetz.

The time and work he has put in photographing these medals, and now making the effort to share them with the rest of us, and really, the rest of the world is very impressive.

I went to Google and punched in "Karl Goetz" and there among other entries that had information about him, is Cacheman's website. What struck me about that is how Scott has added something to the available stream of information and knowledge about this artist that has captured his interest.

Other people may take an interest in Goetz's work and be directed to the site. People who have no idea this forum exists, and people who may not have found another reference where they could see so many of Goetz's pieces, photographed and displayed so conveniently.

So good for you, Cacheman. I think it a very worthy accomplishment, and hope you keep building the site.

Oh, and in case you didn't know here is the web address: www.KarlGoetz.com

Unless you have been thru the pain of getting everything to work right, you really can't understand the work!!

More of us should share our special collections and knowledge.

I've spent quite a bit of time hanging out at his website. I'm totally facinated with the amazing artwork depicted by Goets, and by Cachman's mission in bringing these beautiful pieces to our attention. I join you in tipping the hat to him.

I agree. I've learned a lot even if I have not made a lot of comments. Nice job, cache.

image Thanks everyone... It is just a fledgling web gallery which doesn't even contain half my Goetz collection as yet...you have inspired me to get my butt in gear though. Thanks! Scott

Both those sites are terrific--I just spent a good part of my lunch hour looking. Definite kudos!

Scott's site is destined to be the definitive Goetz site - the best part is - he has introduced this artist and his works to the rest of us, I, for one, am deeply appreciative.
