In what years was this design minted?

I really like the design on the obverse of this coin. The fields are so clean looking on this design and I really like the look of the wide rims around the coin.

The Liberty head design, by itself, was used on the:

10 c, copper-nickel, 1920-21

The same portrait was also used on the 1930 Cape Verde 5, 10, and 20 centavos.

Here's a nice red BU example of the 1940 10 centavos that I picked up recently.

Very lovely indeed! Portuguese coins have long been under-appreciated. They also produce some outstanding medals.

Portuguese prices, especially for higher grade pieces, have exploded in the last year or two. Maybe the home market has mobilized since the advent of the Euro? The country is small and has a standard of living high enough to support a decent sized collector base and has a rich history of issues.
